Thank you for choosing Mekatron for your PCB manufacturing needs. We understand that timely and safe delivery is essential for your projects. We work with leading international and domestic carriers to ensure your order arrives efficiently.

This page details our shipping guidelines, processes, and service terms.

 

 


1. Important Definition: Lead Time vs. Shipping Time

When placing your order, please understand the difference between these two critical periods:

  • Manufacturing Lead Time: This is the time required to produce, test, and package your PCBs. It begins only after your design files (Gerbers) are approved for manufacturing and payment is confirmed.

  • Shipping Time: This is the duration for the completed order to travel from the Mekatron facility to your designated delivery address. This time varies depending on the shipping method selected during checkout.

Mekatron is responsible for adhering to the selected Manufacturing Lead Time. The carrier is responsible for the subsequent Shipping Time.

 


2. Order Processing and Fulfillment

We typically process shipping during standard business hours (e.g., Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM PST), excluding recognized holidays.

Once your order is manufactured, it undergoes a final quality control inspection. If passed, it is securely packaged for shipment. If the lead time ends on a weekend or holiday, the shipment will typically be dispatched on the next business day.

2.1 Standard vs. Expedited Turnaround

We offer different processing speeds, which impact how quickly your order is ready for shipment:

  • Standard Turnaround: Production follows our standard queue.

  • Expedited Turnaround: Priority processing (e.g., 24-hour, 48-hour) is available for an additional fee. This speeds up the manufacturing phase, not the carrier's shipping time.

 


3. Shipping Methods and Options

Mekatron offers several shipping options to balance cost and speed. You will select your preferred method during the checkout process.

We utilize the following carriers:

  • FedEx

  • DHL Express

  • UPS

  • [Optional: Include any local/regional carriers or postal services if applicable]

 


4. Shipping Rates and Handling Fees

Shipping rates are calculated in real-time at the time of checkout. Costs are based on the following variables:

  1. Package Weight and Dimensions: The final size of your PCB order (or components).

  2. Delivery Address: Distance and destination type (commercial vs. residential).

  3. Selected Carrier and Service: (e.g., Express vs. Economy).

Handling fees are generally included in the calculated shipping price. If your order requires specialized packaging or pallets, we will contact you with an updated quote.

 

Free Shipping Promotions:

Mekatron may, from time to time, offer free shipping promotions (e.g., for orders over a specific value or for first-time customers). Specific terms, minimum purchase requirements, and restrictions for these promotions will be clearly stated at the time of the offer. Free shipping typically applies to standard services only and excludes oversized or specialized shipments.

 


5. Tracking Your Shipment

Once your order has been dispatched, you will receive an automatic email confirmation containing:

  • A list of the items shipped.

  • The carrier name.

  • The unique tracking number.

You can track your order using this number directly on the carrier's website. It can take up to 24–48 hours for tracking information to be updated in the carrier's system after dispatch.

 


6. Domestic Shipping (Within [Insert Manufacturing/Operating Region])

We offer competitive shipping within [Your Country/Region]. Estimated delivery times for domestic shipments are:

  • Expedited Carrier Service: 1–3 business days.

  • Standard Ground Service: 3–7 business days.

Note: These are estimates provided by the carriers and are subject to their service level agreements.

 


7. International Shipping

Mekatron serves a global customer base and proudly ships international orders.

  • We use international express services (DHL Express, FedEx, UPS) to ensure reliable tracking and fast delivery (typically 2–5 business days, depending on the destination).

  • Delivery estimates do not include potential delays caused by customs processing.

     

7.1 Customs, Duties, and Taxes (International Only)

Mekatron is not responsible for any customs and taxes applied to your order. All fees imposed during or after shipping (tariffs, taxes, duties, and brokerage fees) are the responsibility of the customer (often referred to as DDU - Delivered Duty Unpaid).

We strongly recommend that you check your country’s regulations and import fees before placing your order. If an order is returned to Mekatron due to failure to pay customs duties, any associated costs will be deducted from any potential refund.

 


8. Address Corrections and Delivery Issues

8.1 Accuracy of Information

It is critical that you provide a complete and accurate shipping address at the time of order. We cannot change the shipping address once the order has entered production.

Mekatron is not responsible for shipments that are lost, delayed, or misdelivered due to incorrect address information provided by the customer. Any redirection fees or reshipping costs will be charged to the customer.

 

8.2 Delivery to PO Boxes

Most expedited carriers (DHL, FedEx, UPS) do not deliver to PO Boxes. A physical street address is required for all express and international orders. We may contact you if you provide a PO Box, which will delay the processing of your shipment.

 

8.3 Missed Deliveries

If a carrier cannot complete delivery, they typically make several attempts before returning the package to Mekatron. Redelivery attempts are the responsibility of the customer and the carrier. If the package is returned, reshipping charges will apply.

 


9. Damage, Loss, and Insurance

We take great care in packaging your PCBs to prevent damage. However, sometimes issues occur during transit.

 

9.1 Damages in Transit

If you receive a package that appears damaged, please:

  1. Refuse the delivery (if possible) OR notify the carrier driver immediately upon receipt.

  2. Take photos of the damaged packaging and the contents.

  3. Contact Mekatron Customer Support within [3 days] of receipt to report the issue. Do not discard the packaging material until the claim is resolved.

We will initiate a claim with the carrier and work with you to resolve the problem (e.g., replacement or credit).

 

9.2 Lost Shipments

If your shipment is significantly delayed beyond the carrier's estimated delivery time (e.g., 7 days overdue) and the tracking has stopped updating, please contact our Customer Support. We will initiate a trace or claim with the carrier.

Insurance:

Mekatron shipments generally include basic carrier liability insurance. If you require enhanced insurance coverage for a high-value order, please contact our sales team before production begins to arrange additional coverage.

 


10. Specific Conditions

10.1 Multiple Shipments / Split Orders

If your order contains multiple line items with different lead times, we generally wait and ship the entire order in one shipment once the last item is complete. If you require split shipments (shipping items as they are finished), additional shipping charges will apply. Please contact us to coordinate a split shipment.

 

10.2 Combined Shipping

We are unable to guarantee the ability to combine separate orders placed at different times into a single shipment once production has started on the first order. Please contact support immediately if this request arises.

 

10.3 Inclement Weather and Holidays

Shipping times may be extended during peak holiday seasons and due to unexpected events such as severe weather, natural disasters, or labor disputes involving the carrier.
